So, you all know that I am a domain name collector. And I always have big plans for each one! Well, this time I actually did it! I used the domain name that I purchased! Now, let me tell you why.
When I started blogging, it was as a mommy blogger just before my son was born. The tagline for my blog was ‘a working mom, learning how to be a working mom’ and the it was all about my new life as a working mom. I stopped blogging for about three years, when I took on a new and challenging job, and then when I started again, I went back to my old ways with a blog called Momma Bear Life. After struggling to write my first post, and then even after publishing a few, I didn’t really feel like I was writing what I wanted to write.
So I changed domain names from Momma Bear Life to Ani Kay. And this was an amazing change. It was super liberating, and honestly helped me establish my blogging identity in a way that I was really comfortable with.
But recently, I’ve been wanting to write things that I didn’t actually think fit into what I set out to write on Ani Kay. I realized I had stuck myself in this box again, and it was curbing my creativity. So, I changed my name once again, and now it feels like I took off those size six pants, that I no longer fit into, and traded them up for a size ten, which is slightly bigger than I need but comfortable enough to wear out.
I’m working through all of the technical stuff now. So far, I’ve had to create a new Facebook page because Facebook wouldn’t allow me to change my page name. Which is crazy because people do it all the time. And I even did it once before on that exact account. But, oh well. So if you liked my page before, and would like to keep liking it, you can check it out here: All That Life Stuff. I’ve also updated my Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter! but those platforms were way nicer and let me just change my name as opposed to starting a whole new page.
And as always, thank you so much for reading and following my crazy adventures! Writing is fun and fulfilling, but having readers and meaningful conversation, is the best thing there is! I hope you will continue to read on, and I promise I’ll only change the name of this blog about three or four more times 🙂 That being said, if you follow me on Bloglovin’ or Feedly, you’ll need to update the feed. Did I tell you that I love you?
