I went to Weight Watchers today!
And yes, I have been using Weight Watchers since January 2nd, but this was the first time I stepped foot inside a Weight Watchers building.
Well, in order to reach Lifetime, you have to weigh-in in person. And according to my friend Joanne here, not only do you have to weigh-in in person, you also have to lose five pounds (proven by in person weigh-ins, not mobile) and then maintain your healthy weight range for six weeks after that.
When Joanne told me about the five pounds I’d still have to lose, I said “no wait, I only have three more to lose to reach my goal weight.” I think she could sense my desperation and told me that my first weigh in would probably be higher since I had my jacket and shoes on.
I’m putting Joanne up for Sainthood.
When I weighed in at home in the morning I was 138 and when I weighed in at the center I was 143! I need to remember to wear my leggings, a light shirt, and no shoes next time I weigh in. I normally weigh in naked at home, but I have a feeling that would be frowned upon in public.
If I get down to 135 in the next two weeks, I can reach Lifetime by the end of the year.
Going into a Weight Watchers was exactly what I needed right now. Being surrounded by all of the products, getting my welcome packet, talking to Joanne about my excitement, and being so very close to Lifetime was the push I needed to really drop these last few pounds.
It’s like starting all over again, and I haven’t done as well all year as I did when I first started.
Oh, they also gave me all of my milestone tokens!
Weight Watchers gives you tokens for every five pounds you lose, and when you do the program online, you don’t really get this perk. I got a ten pound one at some point, but that was the only one.
I am seriously pumped, ya’ll. I am so ready to cross the finish line, and reach Lifetime.
Gah! I can see it now!
