Let’s just jump right in, shall we?
I have some strict steps, leading up to my birthday goal of getting to my ideal weight. I’m starting each Fitness Friday until then with a spot check of where I’m at with these goals.
Get back to strict Weight Watchers, track everything!
I was thinking that it would be OK to take the weekends off from tracking, if I’m really strict and working hard during the week. But after weighing myself this morning, I’m thinking that is not the case.
This is what I made for Mother’s Day, and there was no way I was tracking it!
Also, I went over my points every day for the remainder of the week. Which led to the frustration of weighing in at a pound heavier this morning. Very frustrating.
Intermittent fasting of no less than 14 hours (Ideally 8:00pm to 10:00am)
I fasted every day this week, including Mother’s Day, and every one of my traveling days. Which again, makes a one pound increase, very very frustrating. There are probably a few other factors at play here, but it’s still very frustrating. Did I mention it was frustrating? lol

Follow the Couch to 5k Schedule
I did Couch to 5k one day this week, and it was the third day in the series, which means I haven’t made much progress. But, this time around it was a lot easier than the first time, so I know my fitness level is increasing, which is a good thing.
I’m documenting my progress by taking a video during cool down. This is day three and day two.
Day two was…tough.
Do Slim in 6 at least twice a week
Yes! I did this on Monday and then again on Thursday. I am honestly thinking this is one of the reasons that I gained weight this week. This program builds muscle, and whenever I start it I gain before I lose. I’m hoping, with my fingers and toes crossed that that is the reason I gained.
This is Slim in 6, in case you’re curious. I use it through Beach Body on demand, but that’s a quarterly subscription. The discs below is a one shot deal. I bought this original series about ten years ago, and have since lost all of the dvds, hence the BB subscription.
Close all rings, every day
I did this. I mentioned last Fitness Friday that me and my brother were starting a competition, and I beat him! Which is a bit unfair considering I’ve had the Apple Watch for months and he just got his. But either way, it motivated me to get these rings closed!
Drink 64 ounces of water a day
I did a little better with this, since I drink more water when I travel, but I still didn’t make it every day. I don’t know what to do. Do you have any tips for drinking more water?!
Stay connected by posting weight loss/health/fitness related content at least twice a day
I haven’t really done much of this, and I think it’s a big part of why I haven’t seen the progress that I’m looking for. I did post one though:
I tend to meet celebrities when I travel, because I travel a lot. And most of the time I’ll take a picture and then spend all of my time criticizing how I look in the picture as opposed to enjoying the moment that was captured in it.
The picture above was the first one in as long as I can remember where I actually liked the way I looked. Let me say that again, I actually liked the way I looked! This is huge for me. It almost makes up for the pound I gained. Almost.

I can’t say it enough, but this is a journey. As much as I’d like to get there as soon as possible, and without any misteps or detours, it’s just not going to happen. But I will get there, and that’s all that matters!
