I stated Weight Watchers last week. And one thing you should know about folks on Weight Watchers is that all they want to do is talk about Weight Watchers. And I am no exception.
I think that’s part of the brilliance of the program. When you live it, it becomes more than a habit. And the more into it you get, the more progress you make.
Plus, when you have to fit everything you want to eat into a small amount of points, you become a food ninja!Being on Weight Watchers instantly makes you a food ninja, able to fit endless piles of food into a tiny amount of points. #WeightWatchers #atlsfitnessfriday Click To Tweet
So, here’s how last week went:
My week on Weight Watchers went from Wednesday to Sunday, since I started on the second. I started the program at 162.2 pounds and at my weigh-in the following Monday I was at 159.2. Three pounds down so far!
In my post about Cauliflower Crust Pizza, I mentioned the blue dot day. I am supposed to eat 23 points a day, and I have 35 weekly points that I can use whenever. For me though, 23 points is really not enough for a day, so I’ll use five points a day from my weeklies for a total of 28 points. And as long as I stay within those 28 points, I get a blue dot day.
My goal is to only have blue dot days.
My exercise was pretty minimal during this week, since my focus was mostly on eating the right things. My goal is always to walk 10,000 steps, though I only hit it once this week:
Wednesday: 3,847 steps
Thursday: 10,919 steps
Friday: 5,597 steps
Saturday: 5,289 steps
Sunday: 8,686 steps
I started Couch to 5K recently, but you’ll have to read about that in the next Fitness Friday 🙂
I’m pretty happy with the way I ate during my first week. I was getting used to eating more fruits and vegetables with each meal, and I stayed in my blue dot range.
Some things to note: One day I had ice cream for dinner, and I have no regrets. Halo Top is a gift from the gods, and if you haven’ t tried it, you must stop reading right now and go buy some.
Also, I take an Elderberry vitamin every day, and I hate that I have to track it, because it’s one precious point that I could be putting toward more Halo Top, but Weight Watchers is all about accountability and I’m keeping myself accountable.
My first week was pretty easy, considering it was a complete 180 from my eating in December, and most of 2018, if we’re being honest. Though I’ll admit that I got a migraine the first day, and some serious bubble guts for the first three days. But by the end of the week, I was rocking it without feeling like an overblown balloon.
My mindset has also started to change, and in an attempt to get the family to be more active I took everyone to Kent Falls on Sunday.
Unfortunately it was too cold to do the whole run, but we did climb quite a few sets of steps and we saw some beautiful views.
