Eat, Workout, Repeat – Reaching My Goal Weight

Remember when I said I have until my birthday to reach my goal weight? Well that date is getting closer and my weight is staying the same. I’m working out more, and fasting still, but I’m losing a bit of momentum on what I eat.

And by losing momentum, I mean that I stopped tracking. Again. I know I know, the program can’t work if I don’t work the program.

So to keep myself on track, with the one last piece of the puzzle of my weight loss, I’ve created a meal plan. And not a loose plan, a succinct plan that will not be deviated from for remainder of this week.

Some people struggle with eating the same thing every day, and luckily I am not someone who needs to have variety to feel satiated.

This is the plan:

Breakfast

Steel cut oats with almonds; Egg whites with Laughing Cow Creamy Swiss; Apple

Lunch

Riced cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus, mushrooms, and chickpeas with eggs on top I had this yesterday and it was not good enough to have all week long.

Ezekiel bread with peanut butter (powdered with water) and eggs; Roasted mushrooms and asparagus on the side

Dinner

Brown rice with a Boca burger and baby carrots; Mixed greens salad with cucumber, tomato, and beets with Fat Free Balsamic dressing (this is apparently optional, I tried this meal plan yesterday and didn’t have time to eat this, but also I wasn’t hungry for more than I had. Which is awesome!)

Snacks

Smoothie with berries, Vega Protein Powder, soy milk, and banana; Protein bar with peanut butter and chocolate hazelnut spread; Pepper slices and Clementines

Points

This whole day of food equals 25 points. I am allotted 23 per day and 28 extra per week. At just 25 a day, I am staying in my blue dot range, and will end the week with 14 weeklies left over.

Yesterday, when I tried this meal plan for the first time, I ended up using only 20 points, which is crazy because I didn’t feel hungry at all. So we’ll see how it goes for the rest of the week.

Honestly, if this doesn’t work, I don’t know what will. I know I’m not losing because of my eating, but if somehow that’s not what it is, I don’t know what else to do!

Also, I am definitely not drinking enough water, so I also have a plan for that. I am using my Soda Stream to make seltzer each day, and if I drink two and a half bottles, I’ve got my 64 ounces. Fingers crossed!

Can you eat the same thing every day or do you need a variety?

    I definitely need a wide variety! I can eat the same thing for a few days in a row (but not every mean) and then I have to change it up.

      I’ve been working off of this meal plan as a guide, but it didn’t actually work as well as planned. Turns out I needed some variety as well. For a few days I was good, but my body got pretty tired of a few things pretty quickly.
