Fitness Friday #2 – Couch to 5K – #atlsfitnessfriday

Another week down on Weight Watchers! I’m really excited about the progress I made, and believe it or not the second week was easier than the first! Also, I started Couch to 5K, and that was not easy, like at all.

Here’s how it all shook out.

5.6 pounds down so far! I’m so excited to see these numbers go down! It feels too easy right now, though I know the plateau is just around the corner once my body gets used to this new way of life.

And listen, I’m all pumped up now, seeing progress, and feeling good, but I don’t mean to make light of this process. It’s easy for me right now because I work from home, and my husband is a stay at home dad, I am very fortunate to have the time and space to prepare my meals, go food shopping, work out, and commit to this program. I don’t want anyone to think that this isn’t a hard process, I am just very fortunate to have some serious helpers along the way.

Exercise – Couch to 5K

I stared Couch to 5K this week, and holy moly my lungs were not ready for the exertion.

At the end of the week I bought some new running shoes and some sports bras (which are way too tight, the struggle is real), and by the third day it was just as hard. I’d like to say it was easier, but I’m not at easier yet. I got it done though, and that’s what it’s all about right now.

If you’re unfamiliar with Couch to 5K, you can check it out here. It’s an awesome program that I have successfully never made it to the end of. Go me! This time I’m doing it though. I mean it’s only nine weeks, how hard can that be? {she says panting, and clutching her side}

Something crazy started happening toward the end of the week, I didn’t need to eat all 28 of my points. I mean, most of the time I did eat them, just because I could. But I really wasn’t as hungry as the day went on. I think my body is adjusting to this new way of eating, and I kind of love that.


So you can probably tell that I’m still pretty pumped about all of this. I am plugging along, really enjoying the new recipes and exercises. Ok, I lied, I don’t love the exercises, but I know at some point I will! I see the finish line so clearly in my mind, and I know I’ll get there this time!
