Coffee and Cake Catch Up: Sharing is Caring

A while back, I had a series called “The Weekly Skinny” where I shared links from around the web that I loved and wanted to share. This blog has changed quite a bit from those Weekly Skinny days, but I missed sharing my favorite content.

I posted a Coffee and Cake catch up post a while back, and I am going to pick it up as my weekly wrap up series.

I like the idea of wrapping up the week. And even though I could do this in a newsletter, which is on my list of things to do, I am going to post it here, so that you don’t have to subscribe and go through your mail to see it.

This week, I posted about FOMOtivation, which I actually thought I posted last week, and didn’t realize until Thursday that it was still in my draft folder. I shared my Collection of Now, for March reflections. And of course on Fitness Friday where I talked about 8 things that helped me lose 15 pounds.

And here are the things that I loved reading this week:

Random Holidays Challenge ā€“ Find Reasons to Add Joy to Your Life
From Chocolate Musings. I love this idea! I always want to celebrate random holidays, but something always keeps me from doing it. Maybe because they feel so silly and arbitrary. I’m going to join this challenge and see how it feels to celebrate the silly things.

107 Things I Learned While Hiking 1,833.3 Miles of the Pacific Crest Trail
I’ve been feeling that Wild vibe recently. You know, that feeling of, if I go and look, I’ll find it. Whatever it is. This article was one of the best I’ve read about hiking the PCt.

Mousse Tracks
Hannah is a vegan goddess, and her posts make my mouth water, on the regular. I’m going to try to skinny this a it more, so that it’s Weight Watchers friendly and then I’m going to put it in a Kodiak Cake pie crust and make some pie!

Pane Di Pasqua (Italian Easter Bread)
I’m adding this to my Easter menu! My grandmother used to make this bread every year, and even though I don’t know it I particularly liked it, just seeing it brings me back to some wonderful childhood memories.

Kitchen Rooster Art
From Debbie-Dabble Blog. I am obsessed with Debbie’s style, and roosters are one of my favorite decorating elements. I told Eric that I want to have a rooster in every room of the house! So far, I’ve got the kitchen and office down.

@mylavenderpages on Instagam
I am seriously obsessed with this account. Bre’s style is one of my favorites by far, and I’m always surprised when I see her stuff with less than a thousand likes. Go scroll her, and let me know what you think!

All posts mentioned here will be featured on my Facebook page, during the week, come check it out! If you like me page, you have at least a 20% chance of seeing the content I post there! šŸ˜‰

Here’s to another week! Check back tomorrow for 3 Things: All About Spring!

I LOVE your roundups and wish I could get my butt in gear to do something similar. I have to tell you, I’m a complete failure at the one random holiday I wanted to celebrate in April. #nohouseworkday I failed!!!! I didn’t celebrate! In fact, I did the opposite! I CLEANED. It was the worst. I realized that I missed several of your posts. And now thanks to your roundup, I’m going to go find them.

Thank you Tricia! It’s hard to stay on top of it, especially when I get behind on my reading, like I am now. When I’m on my phone, I use pocket and it helps keep all the posts in one place. Hahaha, that was the ONE holiday you should celebrate every year!

You’re too kind! I’m touched to make your short list of top hits at the moment, and hope you do get a chance to try that mousse. I’d love to hear about your adaptations! šŸ™‚

I think you are the one person who has made it to almost all, if not all, of my round up posts. I look forward to your recipes, and your photos make them look like they are jumping out at me, ready to be eaten!
